Village Fertility Pharmacy now connecting its patients, nurses via live Web feed

WALTHAM, Mass. – Village Fertility Pharmacy (www.villagefertilitypharmacy.com), a specialty pharmacy focused exclusively on infertility medications, is now offering Village Connect, a complimentary, Web-based, video service that helps fertility patients communicate with the pharmacy’s nursing staff, and ask questions about their fertility medications and injections.

These virtual, one-on-one sessions are available to Village Fertility Pharmacy’s fertility patients via a toll-free number and a simple Internet connection, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET. The telephone line allows patients and nurses to communicate, while the online video feed provides patients with an opportunity to view fertility medications and visualize how their various prescriptions should be stored, prepared and injected.

“Managing and administering fertility medications is a unique experience that requires a lot of education and support,” said Linda Romano RN BS, director of Clinical Nursing Services at Village Fertility Pharmacy. “We have a number of tools and resources in place to help our patients become more acquainted with their medications, and Village Connect is just another layer of that effort to better inform our patients.”

Village Fertility Pharmacy’s patients can request a Village Connect consultation by contacting the nursing team at nurse@villagepharmacy.com. Patients are asked to summarize their primary questions beforehand and limit inquiries to medication-focused subjects. All medical questions and emergencies should be directed to the patient’s doctor.

Once the nursing staff receives the Village Connect request, the patient will be contacted with a proposed time for the session, as well as the necessary dial-in and log-in details. Patients do not need a Web camera to participate in the consultation, but they are welcome to partake in a two-way video feed if they choose.

Patients who have questions about their fertility medications, but would prefer to speak to a nurse in-person or via the telephone, may do so by requesting a complimentary consultation through the same channels.
