Kristen Magnacca shares tips to help couples maintain intimacy, will hold tele-workshop Feb. 9

Feb. 5, 2010

Mind-reading will no longer be necessary with The Relationship Honey-Do Strategy, aka The Honey Do Card. So, with Valentine's Day approaching, think of giving your spouse or partner a Honey-Do card instead of a store bought one.

Here's how it works: Each morning, couples exchange index cards on which they have written three items or requests for each other. This enables couples to connect and understand each other with the cards being a physical reminder of the ways they could show their love to each other.

These simple cards helped Kristen Magnacca and her husband, Mark, feel like they were proactively working to keep their relationship strong, even when their needs were as basic as "greet me at the door when I come home," or "call me twice during the day." Kristen is the author of Love & Infertility: Survival Strategies for Balancing Infertility, Marriage and Life, a book that every new Village Fertility Pharmacy client receives with her first medication order.

"We actually completed and exchanged cards for three months straight during the most challenging time of our family creating journey," said Kristen. "I woke up one morning and this idea came to me. With Mark's willingness to play along, we were able to shift the negative energy between us and regain that intimacy of our relationship."

Kristen will be leading one of Village Fertility Pharmacy's tele-workshops on Tuesday, Feb. 9 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. entitled "Love and Infertility: How to Keep Your Relationship and Marital Connection Strong While Trying to Conceive!"
