Infertility patients invited to workshop April 24 to learn coping, communication strategies

WALTHAM, Mass. – Village Fertility Pharmacy (www.villagefertilitypharmacy.com), a specialty pharmacy focused exclusively on infertility medications, will host a complimentary, two-hour event during National Infertility Awareness Week to help fertility patients celebrate their feminine energy and learn strategies for creation and coping.

This “Love and Infertility” workshop will be presented by fertility author, consultant and life coach Kristen Magnacca at Village Fertility Pharmacy’s Waltham, Mass., location on Saturday, April 24 from 1 to 3 p.m. The event is limited to 30 women and those who are interested in attending should register by emailing Maya Nair at mnair@villagepharmacy.com.

Magnacca is the author of the RESOLVE Hope Award-winning book “Love and Infertility: Strategies for Survival – Balancing Infertility, Marriage, and Life,” and "Girlfriend to Girlfriend: A Fertility Companion.” These books tell the story of Magnacca’s struggles with infertility, and she now uses them as tools to help other women strengthen their relationships, communicate more effectively and better manage the stresses associated with infertility.

“This event is as much an opportunity to network with other women who are facing infertility as it is a workshop to help women take control of their fertility journeys,” said Magnacca. “It wasn’t until my husband and I had a plan in place and began communicating effectively that we were able to break the cycle of frustration, anger and sadness. It takes 21 days to create a habit and, ironically, there are 21 days in a treatment cycle. This program will help patients transform the way that they experience that time.”

Attendees of Magnacca’s National Infertility Awareness Week “Love and Infertility” event will:

• Learn how to develop “Your Fertility Game Plan,” an action plan that lays the groundwork for proactive responses during a treatment cycle
• Discover “Your Unique Communication” style and how to unlock their partner’s communication strategies
• Determine if they are auditory, visual or kinesthetic communicators and why this information is important
• Create “Every Day Certainty” to overcome the challenge of remaining hopeful when confronted with disappointment
