Village Fertility Pharmacy hosts meet and greet, book signings at ASRM event10/09/2009ATLANTA, Ga. – Village Fertility Pharmacy (www.villagefertilitypharmacy.com), a specialty pharmacy focused exclusively on infertility medications, will host book signings with three authors at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine’s 65th Annual Meeting at the Georgia World Congress Center from Oct. 17 to 21.
The authors’ meet and greets and book signings will take place in Village Fertility Pharmacy’s booth, number 156, and complimentary books will be available. Featured writers include: Alice “Ali” D. Domar, Ph.D., author of “Be Happy Without Being Perfect”; Kristen Magnacca, author of “Love and Infertility”; and Evelina Weidman Sterling Ph.D., author of “Having Your Baby Through Egg Donation.”
“We’re thrilled to have these three wonderful writers join us at our booth at various times throughout the ASRM show,” said Stuart Levine, pharmacist at and co-founder of Village Fertility Pharmacy. “We carry their books in our pharmacy and through our online products site, and fertility patients and medical professionals are continually praising their work.”
Magnacca will be conducting book signings at the booth on Monday, Oct. 19 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. She started her fertility writing career with her first book, "Girlfriend to Girlfriend: A Fertility Companion," which provides an honest and intimate first-person account of the emotional and physical tolls of infertility. Her latest book, “Love and Infertility: Strategies for Survival – Balancing Infertility, Marriage, and Life,” was recently honored with RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association’s national, inaugural Hope Award for Best Book in the “Coping” category.
With a doctorate in medical sociology and a master’s in public health, Sterling is an accomplished and well-known infertility expert, public health educator and researcher. She has co-written several best-selling and award-winning books, and is currently the CEO of My Fertility Plan, a leading infertility consulting firm aimed at providing health care consumers and infertility patients with a wide-range of unbiased and evidence-based educational resources and referrals. Sterling will be at the booth on Monday, Oct. 19 from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m.
Domar is the executive director of the Domar Center for Mind/Body Health and the director of Mind/Body Services at Boston IVF. She is an assistant professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive biology at Harvard Medical School, and a senior staff psychologist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She will be signing books at the Village Fertility Pharmacy booth on Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
